Oh no! Its monday and its sad to say that this is the very last episode of the promotion videos from the Vindelälven river. Fortunately there is some dry fly fishing in this part too even though Stefan catch a big brown trout in an un true way in the first part of the video.

Me and Spade were out fishing for pike earlier today. It was a windy day, the ice was still at the edges of the water, it was pretty cold and we didn’t see a single fish. The only thing we saw was one of our biggest competitor for the prey. It was some sort of a bird who’s obvious a much better fisherman than we are. I guess it had a nice meal with it’s perch.

I was in a bad mode when we got back so I decided to go trough some of the footage I got when we went to New Zealand for a short trip earlier this year. We didn’t catch many fish but its just so awesome to be in that country. When I get old and loose my hair I’ll move there for sure. I’ll just tell everybody: You won’t see me no more.

Its finally monday again and time for the fifth part (5/6) of Rolf’s promotion videos from the River Vindelälven area, northern Sweden.
I contrast to the last episode where you did see a lot of dry fly fishing there is unfortunately none of that in this one. We are sorry to say that we can’t catch salmon on a dry fly here in Sweden. We apologise for not using the Dry or Die theme. We will try to behave in the future. Once again, we are truly sorry for not using dry flies. Please don’t be too hard on us.

Yes, in the previous post Rolf and Peter showed that they’re having a good time in New Zealand. We’re of course happy for them but that danish guy needs a break. It’s pretty obvious by now that if you go out on a “Frontside fly expedition”, you simply just can’t fish with a nymph. That’s like cursing in the church and we all know that that’s not a good idea.

Here’s the previous post:

Fortunately Rolf seems to keeps it real. He rather stays in the campervan for some heavy drinking, because he knows that the May Fly God would haunt his ass if he ever were thinking of going over to the dark side.

Here in Sweden we try to be a good friend to Rolf and support him the best we can by praying to the Dry Fly Gods to don’t let that danish guy trick him into using a nymph. Rolf might even cease to excist because of that!

Anyhow, this is meanwhile in Sweden. It’s impossible to fly fish, you suck at snowboarding and you’ll never be a hockey super star. If Rolf has hit a serious depression, well… what do you think the other parts of the crew have?

We just wan’t to say that we support you Rolf! You have it better where you are anyway! Don’t join the dark side!

You can do it!

In early february I left Sweden, and the life that i had there. Now 3 months later it seems that my “friends” have realised that Im not home any longer. Im flattered that there are people who miss me, or at least notice that I’ve moved away. Even though no one is wondering what I’m doing so far, I’ll answer the question in advance.

I’m spending alot of time with a tall and handsome guy from Denmark, Peter A Christensen. We both have a passion for troutfishing. But it ends there. So far we haven’t agreed on anything. He’s everything i’m not. He’s poring milk in his coffee. He’s even put suger into that coffeecup. He’s smoking. He’s having a nice and sexy beard. He’s speaking good english.

You don’t know anything about a good morning until you wake up in your new home, a caravan in Reefton.

But our biggest diffrence I havn’t yet mentioned. Peter A Christensen have no shame! He is one of those people who can tie on a sinking fly if the trout isn’t rising! We all now what to do if the trout isn’t rising. Wait. Wait. And then go home and complain about the fact that the trout wasn’t rising.

Peter, caught while he sins

Mine and Christensens life in a 4 min edit….

Well, life’s going on even though Peter is pushing it to the edge of the valley of death. But I miss my old life with Snowboard, and skateboard sometimes. Life has given me new friends and a new passion though! Super scooter!
